Chris Atherton is a passionate and influential advocate for evidence-based information design. She spent the last nine years researching and teaching human cognition and perception at the University of Central Lancashire, challenging conventional approaches to classroom delivery and developing a keen interest in user experience. Chris will be spending summer 2011 with the Experience Research team at Skype, then hopes to find similar work in a related area. She tweets as @finiteattentionspan, and occasionally blogs in long form at http://finiteattentionspan.wordpress.com/
